Our country is a speleological El Dorado. Not many countries in the World have so many surfaces covered in karst. According to the local legend, the caves were named after someone named Barac who defeated the furious Turkish giant in the battlefield and earned himself such an honor.
At the very entrance, there is a great picnic spot surrounded by amazing nature and clean fresh water. In the cave, bats are hibernating on huge stalactites and stalagmites. You will walk through 200m long hall, above pitch black, with an expert guide. Be aware that its cold inside even in summer and you should bring long sleeves as the average temperature inside the cave is 10˚C. On the way back you have the possibility of extending your trip with an optional stop at Deer Valley Ranch to see the deer’s, Old Dreznik town, Korana River Canyon…

We will cycle on nearly traffic free roads through forests, between hills and ruined villages from the war. Construction of the Zeljava Air Base (code-named “Object 505”) began in 1948 and was completed in 1968. Before reaching its hidden tunnels inside of the mountain Pljesevica, we will pass one of the last “flyers”, the Douglas C-47 Dakota, the only proof of life at Zeljava.
