ITINERARY
DAY 1: From Dubrovnik to Sipan Island
Due to your early arrival, you get to board the catamaran by 10 am (on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays) and by 2 pm (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays). You are welcomed by our crew, and we sail out after short safety instructions. Our first stop is Kolocep Island. The smallest of the inhabited islands in the Elaphiti Archipelago. Kolocep is ideal for water activities, and we will try out paddle-boards. We will probably make a swimming break before stopping for lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in the area. After lunch and a short hike to Kolocep’s spectacular cliffs, we continue sailing towards Sipan Island. We will anchor in one of the most beautiful bays in the area for dinner and a swim.
Accommodation: catamaran.
DAY 2: Sailing to Mljet Island and Peljesac Peninsula
We leave Sipan behind early today and sail out towards Mljet Island National Park. The park has two saltwater lakes surrounded by a lush, green forest. The larger one with a small island in the middle, make Mljet a spectacular location for kayaking, hiking, cycling, and swimming. You can choose to cycle from the catamaran to the lakes. From where you can take a boat to the small island with a 12th-century Benedictine monastery. The entrance fee to the national park is not included but can be paid on spot. In the late afternoon, we will sail towards the Peljesac Peninsula and anchor in a quiet bay near Zuljana Village.
Accommodation: catamaran. Meals: B.
DAY 3: Peljesac Peninsula paddleboarding, swimming, snorkeling and cycling
We spend the morning paddle boarding, swimming and snorkeling in the quiet Zuljana bay before we sail east towards Broce and Ston. We moor in Broce and cycle to the medieval town of Ston. Town’s stone walls are 5 km (3 mi) long and were built to protect salt production at a time when salt was an important export product of Dubrovnik Republic. You can walk around the walls that connects Ston and Mali Ston (Little Ston), famous for its oyster farms. Peljesac is also one of the best Croatian wine making regions, famous for its red wines. You will sail by the vineyards perched on the steep southern slopes of the peninsula, and do not miss the chance to try those wines.
Accommodation: catamaran. Meals: B.
DAY 4: The Elaphiti Islands sailing and departure
This morning we sail out of Broce and continue sailing east between the Elaphiti Islands until we reach Komolac again. We aim to disembark around 12 noon (Saturday, Sunday, Monday departures) or 4 pm (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday departures). Therefore you are free to relax in Komolac, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant or continue to your next destination. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit, especially those you won’t find in tourist guidebooks.
Meals: B.
