Your Croatia adventure, upon arrival, starts here. Meet your trip leader or representative guides at the airport. Now relax and enjoy your activity holiday. Please find some more details about transfers, group travels, notes about the possibility of the itinerary to change and other information that might be of interest to you.
Transfers
This is related exclusively to the start of the program. Your transfer will be waiting for you as previously agreed with your Raftrek booking agent. Our standard transfers are from Zagreb, Rijeka, Zadar or Split and Dubrovnik airport, bus, train or ferry station if not otherwise agreed at the time of booking. The trip leader will hold a RAFTREK sign. On some occasions, you will be welcomed by our driver and you’ll meet your guide when you come to the hotel. If your trip does not include transfers, but you would like us to help you travel around Croatia for any other purpose, additional transfers can be arranged with our representatives.
Early arrivals/Extended Stay
If you are planning to arrive before the start of your program or you just want to enjoy Croatia longer after your program ends, you are welcome to book additional accommodation, activities or other services with us. Our services are available to everyone. So don’t hesitate to ask your guide or call the office with your requests or ideas. Our staff knows the area well, and they can give you valuable advice and instructions regarding the rest of your holiday. Especially those you won’t find in tourist guidebooks.
Note on itinerary
Standard itineraries are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, weather, water levels, special events of interest, etc. Raftrek Guides and Trip Leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time. This may mean changing the original itinerary to avoid discomfort or risk. Which could be caused by exceptional situations. Raftrek reserves the right to alter the itinerary without prior notice due to force majeure.
Organizational and group relations
You will be guided by young, experienced and licensed members of our team. Hence to these qualities your guides will always operate in a safety-conscious manner. All of our guides are fluent in English. After settling into your accommodation, you will have time to meet the rest of the group and have an orientation briefing.
Upon your arrival, your guides and skipper will give you safety instructions for commencing the first-day activity. Please listen to them carefully. Safety instructions are there for a reason. Therefore compliance with safety rules will make your stay more comfortable and reduce the risks to their absolute minimum. Please listen to your guides’ instructions at all times. Since they are trained professionals very familiar with the environment. Their first concern is your safety and then your experience.
Trip questionnaire
We care what you think. So, it is in our interest to gather important, relevant information and feedback. You can help us with that by filling out the questionnaire your guide will hand you at the end of your trip. All information is valuable. We need your feedback in order to provide the best possible service to our guests.
Gratuity
We believe that tips should reflect good service and your satisfaction with the guide. Therefore with the overall tour. If you feel your guides did an outstanding job and you would like to reward them for their efforts, we suggest tipping them. Tipping is voluntary and completely at the discretion of individual trip participants. Your own currency or Croatian Kuna is acceptable. Usually, group members put all gratuities in an envelope and present it to the guides during dinner on the final evening of the trip.
