Zrmanja river outdoor short trip
Spectacular canyon with magnificent waterfalls
The weekend-long Zrmanja River trip is a perfect program for a short outdoor getaway. It is designed for energetic and adventurous people who want to indulge in breathtaking beauty merged with outdoor activities. Spend your weekend feeling like a scout again with our daily program of camping, kayaking, swimming, and exploring rivers. Sleep under the stars and wake up to the sound of the river and birds in the morning. With perfectly clear warm water and magnificent waterfalls, Zrmanja and Krupa are among the most beautiful rivers in Europe. They are easy and safe enough for beginner canoeists.
Weekend Zrmanja River kayaking trip
The trip begins in Kastel Zegarski, only an hour’s drive from Zadar. After the first hour of paddling down easy rapids, you will – if time and weather permit – visit beautiful Krupa waterfalls and swim under them. Following a night’s rest, you will continue your trip from a small town called Obrovac. Spectacular sights of the cliffs in contrast to the turquoise river color will lead you all the way to the river estuary. You finish up in the Novigrad Sea, so this is a great opportunity to combine river and sea kayaking in one trip!
