A trekking delight
Trekking North Velebit makes you experience a different type of walking. Since it includes the most famous trekking path. The Premuzic path is also one of the most beautiful. Velebit is known for its unusual diversity. All visitors are delighted with its plant and animal life, forests, cliffs, and caves. Due to its magnificence, it is considered as a Croatian national symbol. And as such is mentioned in songs, stories, and legends. It is also home to Velebitska degenija, one of the most famous Croatian endemic species. Trekking is different from other sorts of travel for a few different reasons. As travelers move on foot through often-rural areas, trekking gives them an up-close view of the incredible scenery.

Since the trekking path is built so that there aren’t any big climbs. Therefore it is pleasant for walking. While passing through the dense forest of old pine and beech trees one can enjoy the tranquility. Velebit it characterized its elongated shape with steep sides. No previous experience is needed. Even children from 6 years of age, accompanied by parents, can participate. Don’t forget to bring your sun cream, picnic, and water. In case of colder weather take a long-sleeved shirt.
09:00 – arrival to destination – Grabovac campsite
09:15 – preparing for the trip and safety briefing
11:00 – starting the trip
13:00 – picnic break at the Rosijeva koliba mountain hut
14:00 – continuing the trekking trip
16:00 – finishing up the trip on Zavizan
18:00 – return to Grabovac campsite
Min 8 – max 16 people per group. Larger groups are on request. Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. In case the minimum number of participants is not met but the guest/s still want to do the trip, the price increases by a percentage depending on the final number of participants.

Cancelation made by Raftrek
In the unlikely case of extreme weather conditions, Raftrek Adventure Travel will reschedule the activity for a day or two prior or after the date booked, if possible. If the rescheduling is not possible, the payments will be refunded in full. Read more – Terms & conditions.

The summers are typically warm and sunny. From May to October temperatures are comfortable for hiking, paddling, and swimming. Rain is always a possibility in Croatia so it is essential to bring adequate rain wear and a jacket in case of inclement weather.
