Rafting Zrmanja River
The most beautiful river
Even though Rafting Zrmanja River is easy and safe enough for beginners, the scenery makes it also very exciting. Also, Zrmanja and Krupa are among the most beautiful rivers in Europe. Due to perfectly clear warm water, spectacular canyon and magnificent waterfalls. Along the way, you will see many fish and birds and explore typical karst phenomenon, living travertine waterfalls. The trip begins in Kastel Zegarski, only one hour drive from Zadar. You will quickly learn how to paddle as you slowly enter the canyon.
Rafting Zrmanja River where rapids wait for you
After the first hour of paddling down easy rapids, if time and weather permit, you will visit beautiful Krupa waterfalls and swim close to them. Furthermore, even more, waterfalls and rapids wait for you as you continue down Zrmanja towards Muskovci village where the trip ends. Since you don’t need previous rafting experience. Even children from 6 years of age, accompanied by parents, can participate in this great rafting Zrmanja River experience.
We use professional SOTAR rafting boats for max 8 people, with a trained guide in each boat. You will get a life jacket, a paddle, and a helmet, plus long neoprene suits and rain jackets in case of cold weather. Waterproof containers are available for personal items. So, don’t forget to bring shorts or a bathing suit, T-shirt, spare socks and sandals (or sports shoes), a towel, sun cream, and water. While in case of colder weather, please take a long-sleeved shirt.
Short day plan:
10:00 – arrive at the meeting destination – Kaštel Žegarski village.
10:35 – prepare for the trip and safety talk provided by the trip leader.
10:45 – start the trip.
12:00 – swimming and jumping at the big waterfall.
13:00 – continue the river trip.
14:30 – finish up the trip and transfer back to the meeting point.
15:30 – departure.
Min 2 – max 30 people per group. Larger groups are on request. Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. In case the minimum number of participants is not met but the guest/s still want to do the trip, the price increases by a percentage depending on the final number of participants.

In the unlikely case of extreme weather conditions, Raftrek Adventure Travel will reschedule the activity for a day or two prior or after the date booked, if possible. If the rescheduling is not possible, the payments will be refunded in full. Read more – Terms & conditions.

The summers are typically warm and sunny. From May to October temperatures are comfortable for hiking, paddling, and swimming. Rain is always a possibility in Croatia so it is essential to bring adequate rainwear and a jacket in case of inclement weather.
