Sea Kayaking Adventure

An Adventure Mixed With Old Fashioned Way of Life

Sea kayaking in Croatia doesn’t get much better than this. In eight days you will visit five small islands of the Sibenik Archipelago. You will swim in the clear waters of the Adriatic, enjoy the stunning sunsets, meet the locals, and completely recharge and reboot yourself. Without a doubt, you will end our Croatia Sea Kayaking Adventure Trip with lifetime memories.

Croatia Sea kayaking Adventure trip

The trip is designed for flexible, energetic people who like to be active, have an adventurous spirit and a positive attitude. You will paddle about 25 km (15,5 mi) per day, but the schedule is very weather dependent.

The islands you are going to visit are Prvic, Zlarin, Kaprije, Kakan and Zirje. They will show you that Mediterranean as it once was, actually, still exists – most of them are car-free! And their total population is around 1000.

After a great week on the Croatia Sea Kayaking Adventure trip, you might consider extending your stay. Check out our other trips below, which you can add pre or post your main Croatia Sea Kayaking Adventure trip.

Day 1

Arrival to the Destination – Skradin

The first day of Croatia Sea Kayaking Adventure Trip starts in the town of Skradin. Upon your request, we will organize your transfer from the airport. Once you settle in we will meet for a get-together dinner and presentation of the program.

We invite you to take a walk around the town. Strolling down the winding cobbled streets will help you understand why Bill Gates called Skradin his ideal place for a summer holiday.
Meals: D. Van transfer from airport – Split 1.5 hour, Zadar 45 min

Day 2

Sea Kayaking – Skradin to Prvic Luka, Prvic Island

Our first destination is the island of Prvic. To get there from Skradin we will paddle down the deep bay, and pass by the town of Šibenik and it's magnificent fortresses.

Our base for the next two nights will be the village of Prvic Luka, a population around 150, while the population of the entire island is around 400. You will be staying at the Maestral Hotel, situated in a former school building, right on the waterfront.

Day 3

Sea Kayaking – Sea Kayaking around Prvic Island

On the third day, you will paddle around the island of Prvic. The islands total area is 2.37 km2, with many secluded beaches and coves, perfect for a refreshing swim. The whole island is under the protection of the Croatian Ministry of Culture since the island is considered a cultural heritage. The only cars allowed on this island are electric ones. You’ll have the time in the afternoon to explore on foot, visit the Faust Vrancic museum, or just relax at the beach.
3*Hotel Maestral; Meals: B and D (lunch on your own); Sea kayaking: 4-5 h; Distance: 25 km (15.5 mi)
Day 4

Sea Kayaking – Prvic Luka to the Islands of Kaprije and Kakan

We continue our sea kayaking trip towards Kaprije and its only settlement, a village Kaprije, population 150.

Fun fact: the only official car on the island of Kaprije belongs to the local fire department. The deep bay of Kaprije is popular among sailors, so village cafes and restaurants are quite lively. Today we will also visit the island of Kakan, an uninhabited island situated just a mile away from Kaprije.
Guesthouse Kaprije; Meals: B and D (lunch on your own); Sea kayaking: 4-5 h; Distance: 25 km (15.5 mi)

Day 5

Sea Kayaking – Kaprije to Zirje Island

On our fifth day, we paddle to the island and village of Zirje. There are 80 permanent residents on this remote island, and it is as far from mass tourism as it gets. The island boasts 485 plant species so we invite you to take a walk and enjoy the lush vegetation.
Guesthouse Kaprije; Meals: B and D (lunch on your own); Sea kayaking: 4-5 h; Distance: 25 km (15.5 mi)
Day 6

Sea Kayaking – Kaprije to Prvic Luka

On our way back to Prvic Luka we will explore the island of Prvic and stop at its other village, named Prvic Sepurine.
Our recommendation for Prvic Sepurine is a visit to the Faust Vrancic Memorial Centre. Who was Faust Vrancic? Well, only the first person to perform (and survive) an actual parachute jumping experiment!

Day 7

Sea Kayaking – Prvic Luka to Zlarin Island and Zablace

The last kayaking day of our Croatia Sea Kayaking Adventure Trip is here. We head to Zlarin island, population around 280. Zlarin is famous for its long-standing tradition of coral jewelry making, so this may be a perfect time to do some souvenir shopping. After we finish exploring the green island, we head to our final destination at Zablace village. After a short van transfer, we will finish our adventure where we first started, at the charming town of Skradin.
