Best Combo trip: Croatia & Montenegro Sailing

On this sailing trip you will visit Dubrovnik and the surrounding Elaphiti Islands. Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most beautiful old towns. On the other hand, sailing around the Elaphiti shorelines gives us a great perspective of the beautiful Croatian coastline. Exploring cliffs, caves, pine and palm trees, hidden coves, reefs, and sandy beaches. However, in the second part of the trip, we sail all the way down to Montenegro. Visiting Kotor Bay, hiking up to the fortress for a spectacular view of the town.


DAY 1 – Sailing – Dubrovnik to Cavtat via Kolocep

To start your Croatia & Montenegro sailing multisport trip combo, please arrive in the morning to our base in Komolac. We board the catamaran at 10 am. Our first destination is Kolocep island, where we will make a lunch stop. Try out paddleboards and swim in the crystal clear and warm Adriatic. After lunch, we sail by the spectacular walled town of Dubrovnik on our way to Cavtat. Enjoy afternoon in this interesting town which dates back to 6th century BC.

DAY 2 – Sailing – Croatia to Montenegro (Cavtat – Tivat)

This morning we clear all border and customs formalities in Croatia and start our sailing adventure towards Montenegro. We stop for swimming, snorkelling and paddling along the way. Mountains become higher and scenery more dramatic as we sail towards the luxury Porto Montenegro marina in Tivat.

DAY 3 – Sailing – Kotor, sightseeing, and hiking

We sail from Tivat to Kotor to explore this medieval beauty. Built by the Venetians, this walled town boasts vastly different architecture from Dubrovnik. We explore the tiny islet of Our Lady of the Rocks the World Heritage Site town of Kotor. Hike up the mountain overlooking the town and bay for stunning panoramic views.

DAY 4 – Departure

We finish up our Croatia & Montenegro sailing multisport trip combo in Tivat. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit – especially those you won’t find in tourist guidebooks. However, you can further combine some of our follow up trips, to further extend your stay.

Group size

Min 4 – max 8 people per group; larger groups are on request. Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. In case the minimum number of participants is not met but the guest/s still want to do the trip, the price increases by a percentage depending on the final number of participants.


Daily routes are rather short – 3 to 5 hours of easy activity- and not demanding, fit for all ages between 12 and late sixties (no previous experience is necessary). Designated family and adult departures ensure that you will be surrounded by like-minded travellers.



Our yachts include a Nautitech 44 Open catamarans with three double and one twin/triple cabin, each with en suite bathroom. The catamarans have beds for up to 8 passengers with a lot of deck space, comfort, and very good sailing performance.

In Montenegro, we use guesthouses and bungalows in Zabljak.

Air Travel

Please check with us before purchasing your airline tickets to ensure your trip has the necessary minimum number of participants required to operate.


Please arrive at our base in Komolac by 10 am (Tenturija bb, Komolac, Mokošica, 20236, by the Vimbula restaurant). You can get there by bus from the Old Town (buses 1 a, 1 b, 1 c to “Komolac 2“ stop) or by taxi.


Return to Dubrovnik by 1 pm.


Meals tend to be fairly heavy on the meats and sausages, bread and pastries, pasta and dumplings. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know as soon as possible. Vegetarian diets can be accommodated but we recommend that you bring along with you some of your favorite protein snacks.


Please note that departures from Dubrovnik are on Thursdays at 10 AM, and departures from Tivat are on Sundays at 2 PM. Please contact us for further details.
