A perfect way to spend a day

Sea kayaking Zlarin Island starts at Zablace camp. Join us for a fun and active one-day kayaking trip that will introduce you to the beautiful nature and history of the Sibenik region. You will paddle along the coast of Zlarin island, have a swim in a small bay, and visit the picturesque village of Zlarin. On our way back to the mainland you will get a chance to explore from the seaside St. Nicholas Fortress, a 16th century Venetian fortress, and a UNESCO Heritage site.

Best Way to Explore Croatian Islands

There are over 1000 islands in Croatia, and, let’s get real, you can’t visit them all. So, why not explore one of the prettiest ones? Zlarin is a small island, population 280, with a unique, quaint charm. We will paddle along its coast and stop in its only village, named also Zlarin.

Zlarin is famous for its coral divers and the centuries-old tradition of coral jewelry making. So, on our break there you can have lunch in one of the village restaurants or do souvenir shopping.

      Zlarin Island kayak tour
I made a last minute enquiry and was lucky to get on a group kayak day tour to Zlarin Islands. The group was on a week adventure holiday based in Skradin, doing a different activity each day (cycling, walking, rafting, etc.).

The group was mixed ability and they paired us in such a way that everyone could keep up. First wee visited a small natural beach for a swim. Then we kayaked to Zlarin village to have lunch in a restaurant. Some opted to stay on the beach. After this we kayaked across to St Nicholas' 16th century Venetian fort, where we had some time to look around.

On return we had a walk in Sibenik old town. The base Skradin is also a very pretty small town with cafes, restaurants, a good base for KrKa National Park.

I really enjoyed the day and highly recommend it and other tours with Raftrek

My second time with Raftrek. I did the Zlarin day kayaking trip near Sibenik last year, this year same again, plus the Cetina rafting. Each time I couldn't help but to be impressed by the organisation and the skillfulness of the staff.
      Truly memorable experience.
