Dubrovnik & Montenegro Sailing Multisport trip combo
This Dubrovnik & Montenegro Sailing Multisport tour is a great choice for travelers that want to visit both Croatia and Montenegro. In the first part of the trip, you will visit Dubrovnik. One of the world’s most beautiful old towns. On the other hand, Elaphiti shorelines are rich in history and natural variety, so sailing around makes it a perfect way to explore. Cliffs, caves, pine and palm trees, hidden coves, reefs, and sandy beaches. However, in the second part of the tour, we continue down to Montenegro. It has been an emerging destination for outdoor travel.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 – Sailing – Dubrovnik to Cavtat via Kolocep
To start your Dubrovnik & Montenegro sailing multisport trip combo, please arrive in the morning to our base in Komolac. We board the catamaran at 10 am. Our first destination is Kolocep island, where we will make a lunch stop. Try out paddleboards and swim in the crystal clear and warm Adriatic. After lunch, we sail by the spectacular walled town of Dubrovnik on our way to Cavtat. Enjoy an afternoon in this interesting town which dates back to 6th century BC.
Accommodation: Catamaran
DAY 2 – Sailing – Croatia to Montenegro (Cavtat – Tivat)
This morning we clear all border and customs formalities in Croatia and start our sailing adventure towards Montenegro. We stop for swimming, snorkeling and paddling along the way. Mountains become higher and scenery more dramatic as we sail towards the luxury Porto Montenegro marina in Tivat.
Accommodation: Catamaran; Meals: B
DAY 3 – Sailing – Kotor, sightseeing, and hiking
We sail from Tivat to Kotor to explore this medieval beauty. Built by the Venetians, this walled town boasts vastly different architecture from Dubrovnik. We explore the tiny islet of Our Lady of the Rocks the World Heritage Site town of Kotor. Hike up the mountain overlooking the town and bay for stunning panoramic views.

DAY 4 – Cycling – Transfer to Zabljak, Black Lake cycling
Disembark in the morning and continue to your next destination – Black Lake in Zabljak. This glacial lake is located in Durmitor National Park and depending on the timing of your visit, you may see one or two bodies of water. They are connected by a narrow stream that dries up during summer, creating two distinct lakes. Enjoy gorgeous views during the short cycle around the lakes and check into your accommodation.
Accommodation: guesthouses; Meals: B, D
DAY 5 – Trekking – National Park Durmitor
We drive to the saddle and start the trek on the route which leads to the highest peak of Durmitor, Bobotov Kuk. Your reward for a somewhat demanding hike is a beautiful view of the surrounding summits. The final stretch to Bobotov Kuk is quite difficult, but it is possible to finish the trek earlier and still enjoy stunning views.
Accommodation: guesthouses; Meals: B, D
DAY 6 – Rafting – Tara River
The Tara River is one of the best rivers for rafting in this part of Europe. Crystal clear water cuts through the deep canyon surrounded by cliffs and trees. We raft the 12-kilometer long section. Visit a monastery dating back to the 13th century and make a swimming stop in the so-called Gardens of Paradise – a gorgeous river section below a mountain creek. Rapids are easy and fun, class 2-3. After the trip, we stop for an authentic local specialty – the trout.
