It’s one of the richest ecosystems in Europe and, as such, its unique value was recognized back in the 1950s when it was declared a protected area. Among the forest’s many springs and streams is a special attraction – the Skakavac waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in the country.

After the trip, we will drive approximately one hour to our base for the next three days, on the banks of the Tara and Piva rivers. This charming bungalow village is perfect for our wild adventure, as it is built according to “bondruk” construction, an old construction style used in Bosnia and Serbia resulting in the healthiest home environments.
