Welcome to Croatia’s hidden river paradise! Our 5-day Mreznica River Expedition takes you deep into one of Croatia’s most pristine river canyon. Designed for adventure lovers, explorers, and anyone craving time in untouched nature, this trip is a multi-day kayaking journey through waterfalls, travertine barriers, emerald pools, and protected nature monuments. Across five unforgettable days, you’ll kayak through narrow gorges where sunlight barely reaches the water, swim beneath cascades, jump from waterfalls, and spend your evenings in riverside camps surrounded by silence and stars. From the wild upper canyon to the tranquil lower stretches, every day reveals a new face of the Mrežnica. This is a true river-to-river expedition — traveling entirely by kayak, camping in nature, cooking over the fire, and rediscovering the joy of simple outdoor living. ITINERARY

Meeting Point: Zagreb

  • 3:00 PM – Zagreb pick-up

Sample itinerary:

DAY 1 – Arrival & Camp Life

  • Meet your group in Zagreb
  • Transfer to Primislje
  • Camp setup
  • Dinner in Rastoke
  • Evening chill

DAY 2 –  Kayaking Upper Mreznica River (14km)

  • Breakfast in camp
  • Full day of river kayaking on the upper part of Mreznica
  • Jumping of the clifs and swimming under the waterfalls
  • dinner  inWild camp Etno Park,  & overnight under the stars

DAY 3 – Kayaking Lower Mreznica River (10km)

  • Breakfast in camp
  • Full day of river kayaking on the lower part of Mreznica
  • Swimming in the crystal clear river
  • Dinner & overnight stay in the wild camp Leskar

DAY 4 – Kayaking Mreznica River (10km)

  • Breakfast in camp
  • Last day of our adventure
  • Spotting animals along the route
  • Campsite with fascilities
  • Farewell dinner in camp Slapić

DAY 5– Departure

  • Breakfast in a camp
  • Transfer back to Zagreb – drop-off at airport, bus station, or your accommodation

This itinerary is subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, weather, water levels, special events of interest, etc. Raftrek Guides and Trip Leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. In case the minimum number of participants is not met but the guest/s still want to do the trip, the price increases by a percentage depending on the final number of participants.
