Krka River short active holiday is based in the beautiful little town Skradin. Our base is great for this short active holiday, it is a unique little town hidden in the Krka River estuary. Skradin town is only 80 kilometers from Split, on the very edge of the national park. This small picturesque town, rich in history, has a couple of family-run hotels, restaurants, pubs and wineries, a beach and a marina. Above all, in friendly atmosphere.
National Park Krka River Short active holiday
The trip consists of everyday activities including kayaking and cycling. There is hardly a better way to get around the National Park Krka River area, than cycling. This biking route will lead us through Croatian history while enjoying a landscape of forests, hills and monuments. As for the kayaking day we will take you to the beautiful Zrmanja and Krupa Rivers. Both rivers have a spectacular canyon with magnificent waterfalls, also they have perfectly clear warm water for swimming. After you paddled through rapids, went down waterfalls and witnessed the beauty of nature at its fullest, you will spend your well deserved afternoon in a relaxing ambiance of Sibenik old town.

The 3* hotel Skradinski Buk is located in Skradin, only 300 meters away from the coast. Skradin is the official boat entrance to the Krka River National Park. It is perfectly situated to explore nearby national parks and other sites of interest in Sibenik-Knin County. You will be accommodated in completely renovated and refurbished rooms, all equipped with air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, telephone and bathroom.
Please check with us before purchasing your airline tickets to ensure your trip has the necessary minimum number of participants required to operate. Early arrivals / Extended stay notes – we include two transfers with each trip. These are usually the transfers on the first and the last day of the trip. In case you are arriving a few days earlier or extending your stay in Croatia after your trip with us, we can provide additional airport transfers.
Meals tend to be fairly heavy on the meats and sausages, breads and pastries, pastas and dumplings. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know as soon as possible. Vegetarian diets can be accommodated but we recommend that you bring along with you some of your favorite protein snacks.

Weather – the summers are typically warm and sunny. From May to October temperatures are comfortable for hiking, paddling, and swimming. Rain is always a possibility in Croatia so it is essential to bring adequate rain wear and a jacket in case of inclement weather.
